no more sippy cups

YEIIII....(happy dance) !

I thought we would never get here. Carlos had no problem getting rid of his sippy cup. It's been a while since he sleeps thru the night and does not rely on the cup to do so. He only used to drink from it a couple of times a day, and most days I would find it around the house half full (or half empty, however you want to see it :D ).

Aracely on the other hand was a different story. At her 3 years of young age, she was still waking us up here and there in the middle of the night wanting her cup. This had to STOP. So, her daddy warned her that today was the last day she would drink from a sippy cup. She agreed. But when it was time for bed, she started crying for one. Tino, being the good father that he is, warmed her a nice cup of chocolate milk. But before he handed it to her, he dipped it in "chile"(ok so at this point he may not be the greatest father), but it worked! As soon as Aracely put it in her mouth and took a taste of the chile, she threw the cup. She is now convinced that all cups have chile. Even the ones at Wal-Mart.....

THEY are finally here........and it's my 100th post !!!

The most important thing first: my dear (and deeply missed) mom, dad and in-laws are back. I was so excited to see mom! and so grateful to get to hug her again. I didn't want to let go. and I could tell the feeling was mutual. I am so blessed to have her here with me again.

Dear God,
Thank you so much for not taking her. You must know how much we love and need her here that you took her only for a little while, but decided we needed her more than you do. I am sure you have plenty of angels already. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much.

On another exciting note, this is my 100th post. What started out like a little game has come a long way. And I love going back thru my posts. It's like reliving everything all over again. I am going to keep this going. Oh how I wish all my family had a blog of their own. Maybe one day.....

a month from today....

is MY birthday !!! I am not the kind of person that looks forward to getting a year older and the upcoming one is no different.

I have to admit I am somewhat nervous. It's the last year I'll be in my twenties ! Is it normal to feel this way? I don't know, but I do know that I am loving life and what it has given me.

People have come and gone in my life, and only those that are truly special and were meant to enjoy life with me are still here. I ♥ all of you. I am greatful for you because in one way or another you have helped to make me a better person.

Aracely and Carlos found a little bag of CARS stickers. I gave each of them one, but that wasn't enough. They kept getting more and more and more....

Aracely the Hairdresser

So Aracely has this new thing of doing her own hair. She is so funny and so proud of herself. She didn't complain when I asked her if I could take a picture of her hairdo. She even smiled for the photo.



I didn't relize that the above picture is a little dark, but here is a shot of the back of her hairdo.



Now every morning when it's time to go to Estrella's house, Aracely does her own hair.

I know Tino misses his mom and dad. Here he is talking to them....and Carlitos was excited to hear his grandpa over the phone.

Everytime we go to Sams, Aracely and Carlos love to get a happy face on their receipt. Yesterday when we went it was no exception. They each handed their receipt to the lady at the door and she seemed to notice how eager they were to get a happy face on it.



Later on in the day, I asked Carlos what his happy face looked like and he did this:

July went by so fast ! And it went without us taking meaningful pictures. How/why did that happen?

I've noticed that my last couple of posts have no pictures, I need to work on that =) There are alot of things I need to work on.....if I only had the time !
