The Park

Cousins.....aren't they adorable. Aracely, Vivi, Natalie and Monica. They didn't get tired of playing while we were at the park celebrating Carmen's bautizo.

Silly Carlitos. He loves it when I put sun glasses on him. I had not been able to snap a picture of him. I am not sure why since I always have my camera with me. Maybe he would just not leave them long enough for me to take a picture. He enjoyed the attention......I love his big kool-aid smile.

Flying around

Aracely loved being thrown to the couch. She was giggling so much that I just had to take a couple of pictures and here they are.

And Carlitos could not stay behind. He was watching with excitement and laughed every time Aracely screamed. He had his turn too.

And the battle begins....

I love it when I am downloading pictures and come across something like these. They are just too funny to put away.

Picture #1 : Aracely being such a wonderful BIG sister trying to pull Carlos around the kitchen in this little wagon that my cousin Asuzena (gracias prima) gave to him for his birthday.

Picture #2 : Aracely wants a turn in the wagon and when Carlos refuses to get off, Aracely pulls him by his shirt. And Carlitos makes this face that is just too funny to ignore. This is just the beginning of a whole lot of battles to come. It’s going to be FUN to watch !

Happy Birthday Genesis !

This is the princess I made the birthday party invitations for. Her name is Genesis and she just turned one. I can’t believe she is already walking, she is so tiny. She looked like a little doll walking all over the place. TOO CUTE !!!

Then here is Carlos wearing a birthday party hat. Fortino didn’t like the idea of him wearing it since it was pink and it said princess on it…LOL!!! It was originally Aracely’s but she ran to the jumper and left the hat behind. I didn’t get any pictures of her jumping, but she jumped all the time we were there.

They finally got married...

Maribel and Abel finally got married on the 5th of July. I am so happy for them. It was a pleasure to witness their wedding and see them commit to each other. I wish them the best of happiness in the new life they are just beginning.

The party was also a blast. I still can't believe Fortino catched the garter (here he is wearing it on his arm).

HISTORY....

Since I don't have a history because I just started my blog, I want to show the biggest high lights of my life. Those moments that will forever live in my treasured memories. I love my children, my husband and my family. I am thankful with God for the life he has given me and that's why......LIFE IS GOOD !!!

Our move to Utah
I was born in Torrance, California and raised in little o' Watts. Dad always talked about moving to another state but I always said no. Mostly because I was still in high school and I wanted to graduate from there. After a couple of visits to Utah, in 2001 nothing was holding me back and we made the big move. I love it here.

I met HIM...

I met Fortino in our parents' home town
Susticacan Zacatecas Mexico, someday
in August of 1998. We dated for a couple of days....yes days! Then we both went our separate ways. We tried to stay friends and it worked for a while but soon after we drifted apart.

I dated another guy and I am sure he dated other girls, until we met again in 2001 also in Susticacan. When I saw him again, my heart stoped and I knew we had something special going on. We had a long distance relationship (it was hard, but we made it work) for a while.

In 2004 we got married. I might of not had the wedding I envisioned, but I am as happy as I thought and hoped I would be.

Our pregnancies

So far we've been blessed twice! I enjoyed both of my pregnancies until the last couple of days (those are just too hard to enjoy. One word, discomfort) I loved the fact that some little tiny person was inside of me. I am still amazed with nature and how two people that love each other can give life to such wonderful little creatures.

The day they were born

I got more than I expected when we went ot the hospital to give birth to our first child on Friday, April 28, 2006. A baby GIRL that we would name Aracely. After monitoring the baby's heartbeat, my doctor came to us with what to me was bad news. We had to have a C-Section. With every contraction the baby's heart rate dropped causing her to stress and make labor difficult.

14 months later and another C-Section on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, Carlos was born. We didn't plan to have another baby so soon after. I am so happy we did. It couldn't get any better, not even if we had planned it. We love you Carlitos.

Our babies get Baptized

When it came to choosing "padrinos" for our children, it was not hard to decide who we wanted. Baltazar and Elsa baptized Aracely on April 28, 2007, the very same day she turned ONE.

Chencho and Arcie baptized Carlos on June 14, 2008. A couple of weeks before his first birthday.

MOM and DAD

I am greatful for having parents like mom and dad. They did a great job raising us. I admire their courage, their strength, their hope and the way of life they gave us. We didn't have everything growing up, but that made us appreciate what we had and work hard for what we wanted. I love you mom and dad.

My Family

I always thought we were a big family. But it only got bigger when in-laws, nieces and nephews came along. And we keep growing. Too bad some of us are here in Utah and others are in California.

I caved in.....

I have officially joined the bloggers world. I had been wanting to start my blog for a while but for some reason I didn't dare to. Now I am happy I did. This is so easy and way fun !
